Camp Floyd State Park is another popular attraction in Utah County. Reigning as the military post with the largest troop concentration in the United States from 1858 to 1861. There were over 3,000 troops that occupied more than 300 buildings. The troops assigned to Camp Floyd were to suppress an assumed Mormon rebellion. The troops returned East in 1861 for Civil War duty. The only evidence today are a cemetery and commissary building remain. The nearby Stagecoach Inn has been restored and looks as it did back in the late 1800s, when it was used a stop on the Pony Express. The museum hours are 9 am to 5 pm. It is open 7 days a week during main season and closed Sundays from October 15 through March 31.

The famed Sundance Resort is a full-service community and year-round recreational center known for its involvement with arts and crafts. The 6,000 acres resort also offers a range of summer activities including nature hikes, hiking and biking trails, mountain biking , fly fishing, horseback riding, scenic lift rides and a summer nature camp for kids .
